My Favorite Ornaments - The Cross Holds the Story

How do I even begin to describe this ornament?

It is one of my most precious ornaments. It tells the greatest of all stories within its tiny design.

The star and the angels and the shepherds with their flocks along with the wise men on their camels all surround the manger scene.

And this entire story is captured within the design of a cross.

The cross that completes the story!

For without the cross, the birth could have been of just another great prophet.

Without the tomb, there would be no price paid for our sins.

The cross was in God's design from the moment man fell!

How can we not honor Him like the shepherds at his birth and the wise men with their gifts?
"The greatest of kings born in the humblest of places.
God made into flesh.

Gold for the King of all kings.
Frankincense for the Priest of all priests.
The gift of Myrrh to honor Thy sacrifice."
(Quote from the wise men in the movie The Nativity Story.)
The cross held the story and brought us new life through the babe of the Nativity.

Now it is our turn to honor Him with our lives by sharing His story with the world around us.
